The Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) is made up of professors in academic programs throughout the world who provide education in the sciences and technologies of environmental protection.

Founded in 1963 as a private nonprofit organization, AEESP has more than 700 members in universities throughout the world. Read more in the About Us section or please contact us with any questions. AEESP thanks our Sustaining Members for their continuing support.

The May edition (Vol. 43, No. 2) of the AEESP newsletter is now available on-line.

WERF announces its unsolicited research program for 2008
The Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) has $500,000 available and is seeking to fund groundbreaking research that will advance knowledge and understanding in water quality and that could transform how WERF subscribers perform their business. WERF will also consider proposals that would take existing research to the next level of completion, resulting in practical solutions to water quality problems. The call for pre-proposals can be viewed at www.werf.org under Get Funding along with complete instructions. Pre-proposals are due by 5:00PM EDT, July 29, 2007.

AEESP Lecturers Committee Selects Dr. Tony Fane as 2008 Lecturer
The Lecturers Committee is pleased to announce that Dr. Tony Fane has been selected as the 2008 AEESP Distinguished Lecturer. Dr. Fane is a chemical engineer with a Ph.D. from Imperial College, London. He has been working in the membrane field since 1973 when he joined the University of New South Wales (UNSW), in Sydney, Australia. Additional information can be found in the May Newsletter.
