Science, Technology and Environmental Policy

The Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota seeks applications to fill a tenure track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in science, technology, and environmental policy. This is a broad search. The successful candidate must have strong and demonstrated teaching, research, and public engagement interests in natural sciences, engineering, technology, water and energy with application to environmental policy, sustainable development, science & technology policy & other related fields.

Environmental Engineering

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a tenured faculty position in the area of environmental engineering. The position is expected to be filled at either the full or associate professor level with a start date of July 1, 2014. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a closely related field of study.

Environmental Health

Assistant or Associate Professor of Environmental Health. A 12-month tenure track position beginning January 6, 2014. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in environmental health, environmental science, environmental engineering, occupational health or other appropriate discipline; postdoctoral experience is preferred. Candidates that are ABD will be considered but the doctoral degree must be earned no later than June 30, 2014.

Civil & Environmental Engineering

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is searching for a faculty member in the area of Civil and Environmental Engineering with research interests that include (but are not limited to) materials for sustainable and efficient transportation, sensing and big-data enabled computation in the built and natural environment, environmental implications energy use, and novel approaches to harvesting and storage of energy.  This is a full-time tenured or tenure-track position and is open at all ranks.

Water and Health

The Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University is seeking an outstanding individual for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the general area of “Water and Health”. It is expected that the successful candidate will be nominated for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair position, with the appointment being in either Chemical or Civil Engineering, beginning July 1, 2014.

Geofluids

The Department of Earth Science at Rice University anticipates hiring a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor in the broadly defined area of geofluids with relevance to the deep Earth, crust, hydrosphere, atmosphere or their interfaces.
