EMPOWER—Education Model Program on Water-Energy Research—is a new National Science Foundation Research Traineeship (NRT) interdisciplinary graduate training program at Syracuse University. Graduate students in this program conduct research at the “water-energy nexus,” which is a priority research area nationally.
A fully-funded PhD graduate assistantship, starting in spring 2016 or fall 2016, is available in environmental chemistry in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at University of Houston, TX, United States of America.
Dr. Peng Yi from Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering at Florida Atlantic University is seeking graduate students at either M.S. or Ph.D. level. Preference will be given to Ph.D. applicants. The graduate research will be primarily in one of the three areas: Environmental Nanotechnology, Nano-Bio Interactions, and Renewable Energy. The graduate student will be offered research assistantship which covers stipend and full tuition. The prospective student is expected to start from the Fall semester of 2016.
The sustainability and environmental engineering (SEE) faculty group at the University of Pittsburgh seeks PhD student applications for openings beginning in the 2016/17 academic year. The SEE group is affiliated with the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation (MCSI) (www.mascarocenter.pitt.edu) and the University of Pittsburgh Center for Energy (http://www.energy.pitt.edu), providing ample opportunity for interdisciplinary training and collaboration. Applications are due January 15, 2016. PhD students receive a stipend and benefits.
A Ph.D. research position is available in Environmental Science and Engineering in the Institute for a Sustainable Environment at Clarkson University (www.clarkson.edu/ise) starting January, 2016. The successful applicant is expected to conduct research in the area of sampling and analysis related to vapor intrusion. A B.S. in environmental science, environmental engineering, or chemistry is required, and applicants with a M.S. degree in a pertinent field and/or related experience are preferred.
Ph.D. Positions for Indoor Aerosol Research
Graduate study and research fellowship opportunities available at the Science, Technology and Environmental Policy (STEP) program at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota.
We offer a vibrant interdisciplinary graduate program connecting science and engineering with sustainability system analysis and public policy to address some of society's most pressing challenges.
