Environmental Engineering - Wastewater

The recently established New York State (NYS) Center for Clean Water Technology invites applications for multiple Ph.D. students to develop and demonstrate the next generation of innovative, on-site wastewater technology.  Nitrogen from aging cesspools and septic tanks has been identified as the major source of nitrogen pollution in the groundwater and coastal waters of Long Island, New York. The NYS Center for Clean Water Technology was recently established by Governor Cuomo through a grant to Stony Brook University.
