A research assistant position for an MS or PhD degree is available at the University of New Mexico in Environmental Engineering, with a focus on development of microbial fuel cell technologies as means of harvesting energy from wastewater. The research project will include elements of electrochemistry, process control, modeling, microbiology, and molecular analyses to develop MFC electrodes for improved energy production during biological treatment of wastewater.

The Department of Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU Environment) advertises a fully funded 3-year PhD position in Hydrologic Modelling, Data Assimilation and Remote Sensing. The project aims to develop methods to inform basin-scale hydrologic/hydrodynamic models with radar altimetry data from the Cryosat and Sentinel-3 satellite missions.
