A post-doctoral research position is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University to work in the area of environmental risk assessment of organic chemicals. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a strong background in environmental risk assessment and stochastic fate and transport modelling and a strong record of publication in peer reviewed journals. Laboratory skills in environmental analytical chemistry are also preferred. Candidates should hold a Ph.D.
We are seeking a post-doctoral scholar for urban stormwater studies, including best management practices (BMPs), life cycle assessment (LCA) and grey-green infrastructure management. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in hydrology, civil and/or environmental engineering, or a related field. A strong technical background in hydrological modeling, water quality, or BMP development is beneficial. Expertise in urban hydrology and stormwater management is also preferred. Candidates should be capable of collecting, organizing, and analyzing large sets of temporal and spatial data.
A postdoctoral research position is available with the Drinking Water Research Group, University of Toronto, Department of Civil Engineering (www.dwrg.ca). The candidate will be required to take leadership of specific aspects of research projects that involve one or preferably several of the following: 1) membrane treatment, 2) biofiltration, 3) advanced oxidation, 4) control of emerging contaminants. The work will involve managing and conducting both bench- and pilot-scale research.
