A postdoctoral research position is available to develop engineered biological bioreactors for wastewater and hazardous waste treatment. Extensive research will be carried out using molecular biology tools including PCR/cloning, DGGE, FISH and quantitative-PCR.
Two postdoctoral researchers are needed to work on disinfection byproducts removal in waters: one in chemical methods and another in microbiological method.
The selected candidates should have strong relevant backgrounds and research experience; Ph.D. degrees in environmental engineering or relevant areas, preferably with emphases in disinfection and disinfection byproducts; and, excellent publication records.
