There are multiple projects for post-doctoral funding in the EWRE program in the environmental biotechnology and chemistry labs of Drs. Nancy Love, Terri Olson, Lutgarde Raskin and Krista Wigginton (joining our faculty in January 2013). Project topics include activities in the list below. The successful candidate will participate in projects related to the structure and reactivity of natural and engineered nanoparticles in aqueous systems.
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar specializing in environmental biotechnology and/or microbial ecology. Experience with molecular methods, DNA sequencing, and DNA sequence analysis is desirable. The ideal candidate would be willing to assist graduate students in project start up, as well as maintaining his or her own independent research project. An earned doctorate in civil engineering, environmental engineering and science, biology, microbiology, or a closely related field is required.
