Main responsibilities

Novel Membrane Synthesis and Characterization

The Departments of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering  and Materials Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University is seeking a post-doctoral researcher in a multi-disciplinary team focused on developing novel ceramic membranes with built-in anti-fouling capability.  The research will involve synthesis, characterization, analysis, and fouling of inorganic multi-layer structures with built-in anti-fouling capability. The post-doctoral researcher will be expected to work under the supervision of Drs.

Environmental/chemical engineering/chemistry/physics: Development of photocatalysts for photoelectrochemical process for pollutant photodegradation and hydrogen generation

The research group of Professor Irene M. C. Lo at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, would like to invite applications for a Post-doctoral Fellow position in the research area of developing photocatalysts for photoelectrochemical process for pollutant photodegradation and hydrogen generation. The candidate should have a strong research background and publications in (1) photocatalytic process and photoelectrochemistry, and (2) hydrogen generation and storage development.

Environmental/chemical engineering: Fate and Transport of Nanoparticles in Subsurface Systems and Their Risk Assessment

The research group of Professor Irene M. C. Lo at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, would like to invite applications for a Post-doctoral Fellow position in the research area of fate and transport of nanoparticles (especially nano zero-valent iron particles) in soil and groundwater.

Research Scientist

The Center for Clean Water Technology (CCWT) at Stony Brook University seeks a full-time Research Scientist to lead a research and development program focused on developing and/or evaluating new methods for removing Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) from drinking water.  The mission of the CCWT is to marshal the public and private-sector resources of New York State and beyond to accelerate the development and commercialization of water quality restoration and protection technologies.

Postdoctoral position on Atomic Force Spectroscopy

We currently have a postdoc position available at the geochemistry group of ISTerre (CNRS-Univ.Grenoble-Alpes). The candidate will study the interaction forces between crystalline particles, and how this influences the mechanical properties of loadbearing materials.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Physics, Material science, Chemistry, or a related field, and have extensive experience in force spectroscopy both in air and liquids. Knowledge about crystallization/crystallography is desired but not a must.

Postdoc

The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Riverside, is seeking a postdoctoral scholar in the area of water chemistry and treatment. The researcher will conduct research on water reuse technologies, including advanced oxidation and various physicochemical treatment processes, for the treatment of reclaimed water and membrane concentrate.
