As a division of the world's largest metal powder producer, North American Höganäs is the most integrated and state of the art metal powder manufacturing facility globally.  Located in picturesque Hollsopple, Pennsylvania, about 80 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, North American Höganäs’ headquarters offers full production and technical services to support a wide range of metal powder applications.

The Water Engineer will coordinate the design development and/or assist in providing technical direction to the scope of projects; providing senior-level technical know-how on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contracts for construction. Participate in water/wastewater product and process innovation efforts at the organization and be an integral member of a project team with key contributions and responsibilities.  Will also be required to interface with internal and external clients; responsible for project deliverables; meeting milestones; and clearly communicating to the project team and clients.  Position will include work in both field and R/D Lab environments.

Candidates must possess a PhD degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, or Civil) and at least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in environmental projects and consulting.  Knowledge and experience in various state of the art treatment technologies in drinking water and municipal\industrial wastewater, remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater, site development, and general civil engineering experience necessary. Knowledge on both biological and physico-chemical treatment techniques is preferred.

Experience in technical writing of deliverables including work plans, quality program documents, health and safety procedures, summary reports, and project correspondence required.  Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment and travel regionally, nationally, and internationally as needed for team meetings, client consultations, business development, site inspections/visits, etc. is required.  P.E. License is a plus.
