Job Description:

I am looking for one or two PhD or MS students to start from the fall 2012 or spring 2013 semester. Experience with SEM-EDX is desirable, but not required. Experience with or background to learn CFD (Fluent 3D) is desirable if ultimately for a PhD degree. This student will be funded to pursue a degree in Environmental Resources Engineering (www.esf.edu/ere/graduate/) with 1/2 research assistantship, 1/2 graduate assistantship (TA), tuition waiver, and health benefits. The second student will be appointed as 1/2 GA in the first year to operate wetland treatment systems for nitrogen removal from dairy wastewater in a greenhouse and develop new research ideas freely, though molecular biological techniques are preferred. Highly motivated candidates with a BS or MS in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or biosystems engineering are encouraged to apply. Please send your statement of study goals and CV (including GPAs, GRE sectional scores, and TOEFL sectional scores if international) to Dr. Wendong Tao at wtao@esf.edu.
