Dr. Du is recruiting Ph.D. students in air quality science and engineering to start in summer or fall 2016. The highly exceptional applicant will be nominated for “Eyes High” scholarship award. (http://grad.ucalgary.ca/faculty/eyeshigh).


The Ph.D. students will be expected to develop optical remote sensing method/technology/instrument for monitoring airborne pollutants, investigating their pollution characteristics, transportation, and evaluating their impact on ambient air quality. The ideal candidate should hold an MS degree in Atmospheric Science, or Meteorology, or Environmental Engineering, or other related fields. Experiences in aerosol sampling and analysis, optical properties of aerosols, and optical remote sensing techniques are desired.
