The Torres Lab (http://torres.environmentalbiotechnology.org) within the Swette Center for Environmental Biotechnology at the Biodesign Institute of Arizona State University announces an opening for a postdoctoral research associate beginning Spring 2016 in the area of genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics for microbial electrochemistry.
The candidate will work on characterization of electron transport pathways in anode-respiring bacteria, including Geobacter sulfurreducens, Geoalkalibacter ferrihydriticus, and Thermincola ferriacetica using -omics techniques. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. Previous experience in microbial electrochemistry is desired but not required. Review of applications will begin immediately.
