Environmental Engineering-The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Bucknell University seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position starting in August 2013. Candidates should have an earned doctorate at time of appointment in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related engineering field; ABD applicants will be considered. The Department anticipates the offering a new degree program in environmental engineering and seeks an additional faculty member. Expertise in systems, life-cycle assessment, and industrial ecology are particularly desirable. An undergraduate environmental or civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program is preferred and professional and teaching experience is desirable. The successful candidate must have the ability to provide outstanding classroom and laboratory instruction for environmental engineering and introductory engineering courses and develop professionally through research and other scholarly activities. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to sustain a productive program of scholarship and a willingness to contribute to university and professional service. The appointed candidate will be encouraged to seek professional registration.
