Job Description: 

A postdoctoral research position is available with the Drinking Water Research Group, University of Toronto, Department of Civil Engineering (www.dwrg.ca). The candidate will be required to take leadership of specific aspects of research projects that involve one or preferably several of the following: 1) membrane treatment, 2) biofiltration, 3) advanced oxidation, 4) control of emerging contaminants. The work will involve managing and conducting both bench- and pilot-scale research.

Candidates must have a PhD in environmental engineering or a related field with a strong focus on experimental work related to drinking water treatment. The successful candidate will have experience with chemical methods for the analysis of drinking water quality (e.g. GC, GCMS, LCMS, IC). Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required along with very strong report and publication preparation skills.

The position will start as soon as a qualified candidate is identified.
