PhD and MS graduate research assistant positions are available for students interested in air pollution and environmental modeling in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University. Research will center on regional and global atmospheric models, and covers a wide range of potential interdisciplinary projects exploring the connections between air quality, climate change, and environmental policy. Additional information is available here: https://fgarciam.wordpress.ncsu.edu/prospective-students/
At NC State, students will be part of one of the largest civil and environmental engineering departments in the U.S. and a vibrant research community. NC State is also great place to undertake air pollution research. Students will have opportunities to interact with many faculty members and researchers working on air quality and environmental modeling across different academic departments and institutions. The Triangle region offers excellent research and career-related resources for air pollution engineers. In addition, Raleigh is a fantastic place to live.
Financial support is available for graduate students to cover tuition and living expenses while they pursue their advanced degrees. Graduate applications should be submitted to the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering, and students can indicate a preference for the Water Resources and Environmental Engineering or Computing and Systems programs (http://www.ce.ncsu.edu/admission/). Students interested in applying are encouraged to contact me directly (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss research opportunities.
