The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UConn has funding for 2 PhD students to work with Professor Jonathan Mellor on systems based approaches to study water, health and climate change in Ethiopia and Connecticut. Primary areas of research may include:
Climate change impacts on water resources and health.
Climate change resiliency and adaptation strategies.
Coupled human/engineered/environmental systems and agent-based modeling.
Appropriate water treatment technologies.
Applicants should have a BS or MS (preferred) in engineering, computer science, environmental science, public health or a related field. They must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
