Assistant Professor of Environmental Engineering The rapidly growing Environmental Engineering program at Saint Francis University seeks applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position starting August 2013. Candidates must have earned a doctoral degree at the time of appointment. Significant professional experience in Civil, Environmental, or Ecological engineering or a closely related field will be considered favorably. Expertise in air quality, laboratory experimentation, and/or agro-ecosystem management/pollution control is desired. However, candidates with other relevant experience will be considered. The appointed candidate will be encouraged to seek professional engineering licensure if not already obtained. Duties would be primarily focused on teaching a wide range of courses for environmental engineering majors and on contributing to the continued development of the program. The successful applicant would also be expected to develop a vibrant consulting, research and/or service program. The successful candidate must have the ability to provide outstanding classroom and laboratory instruction for environmental engineering and introductory engineering courses. The Environmental Engineering program at Saint Francis University is exclusively undergraduate and has been developed with an emphasis on personalized learning/teaching experiences, impactful community service regionally and abroad, publishable undergraduate research, and real class projects throughout the curriculum. The successful applicant would be expected to complement the existing faculty by building a vigorous consulting, research, and/or service program with undergraduate students as an integral component.
