Job Description: 

As part of its ongoing Strategic Faculty Hiring Initiative with a focus on Water, Michigan Technological University is soliciting applications for a tenure-track position for candidates with research interests and expertise in engineered water systems. In particular, we are seeking candidates whose research focuses on the provision of safe and secure drinking water, including advanced water treatment processes, distribution systems, disinfection, pathogen detection, emerging contaminants, nanomaterials, and sensor technologies. Preference will be given to candidates who can develop an active laboratory-based research program. Successful candidates must have earned a doctorate at the time of the application and postdoctoral or other professional experience is strongly preferred. Senior level candidates with exceptional records will also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate prior success in obtaining, or evidence of potential to secure, external funding and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.
