The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at Marquette University is seeking candidates for a graduate research assistant position in environmental biotechnology, preferably at the PhD level. The position begins in August 2016 and is funded through an award from the National Science Foundation CAREER program. The researcher’s primary focus will be design of bioengineered systems using phosphate binding proteins to recover phosphorus from water and wastewater systems. The student will have the opportunity to participate in all facets of the project, including designing and conducting laboratory experiments, working with faculty and peers, and disseminating results via papers and presentations.
