An open position for one (1) Postdoctoral Researcher is available IMMEDIATELY in the School of Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). The research focus is on advanced functional materials (such as metal organic frameworks, 1D nanowires/nanofibers, and 2D nanosheets) for energy and environmental applications.

Highly motivated candidates with solid training in the following fields, including but not limited to, Materials Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Solid State Physics are encouraged to apply. Candidates with strong experimental skills in materials synthesis (e.g., gas phase and/or wet-chemical methods, such as ALD, CVD, PVD, sol-gel, and hydrothermal) and characterization (such as TEM, SEM, EDX, AFM, XRD, XPS, BET, UV-VIS, FT-IR, Raman, DLS, and photo-/electro-catalysis analysis) will be considered a plus. Candidates with theoretical background in catalysis, chemistry, and materials science are also highly encouraged to apply. The successful candidates should have strong motivation and passion in doing research on advanced functional materials and excellent writting skills.
