I am seeking candidates for a PhD Research Assistantship focusing on the development of molecular assays to detect organisms important to bioremediation. The ideal candidate will possess a M.S. in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, and prior experience in microbiology and molecular techniques. Candidates holding a M.S. in related fields will also be considered. The selected applicant will be funded with a competitive stipend, benefits, and travel support to attend professional conferences.
The position starts May or June 2012, and the student will be advised by Dr. Alison Cupples (Associate Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Michigan State University).
