The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking motivated research assistants (Ph.D. level) to work in environmental engineering and biotechnology. Research areas include anaerobic digestion, wastewater treatment, biological nutrient removal and recovery, environmental nanotechnology and bioelectrochemistry. The research will involve working in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of researchers on campus. Applicants should have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field (e.g., environmental science, microbiology, and chemistry) with some skills in biological processes, bioreactor design and operation and instrumental analysis (e.g., GC and HPLC).
