The University of Michigan is searching for a proactive and goal-oriented Postdoctoral Research Associate in Environmental Engineering to join a team of faculty and graduate students working on innovations in anaerobic membrane bioreactors. The research will be supervised by Professors Lutgarde Raskin and Steve Skerlos.
Applicants should have a doctorate in environmental engineering, environmental biotechnology, environmental microbiology, or a related field of study. Candidates must have a well-established academic record in the biotechnology field, hands-on experience building lab scale bioreactor systems, and knowledge of anaerobic wastewater treatment. The ideal candidate also has deep expertise with microbiology, molecular biology, and microbial ecology, along with excellent oral and written communication skills.
