The Environmental Engineering Program at the University of Nevada-Reno is seeking one Ph.D. student to work with Dr. Yu Yang on the projects of environmental engineering/chemistry beginning Fall 2018. Ongoing projects in Yu Yang’s lab include application of reclaimed water for agriculture, microbial degradation and plant uptake of carbon nanotube, transformation and stability of organic carbon in redox reactions, and organic matter-mediated degradation of emerging organohalides. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in environmental engineering/chemistry, geochemistry, analytical chemistry, or organic chemistry.
The selected graduate student candidate will receive a competitive research stipend and benefits. Fellowship may be available to high-quality candidates.
