Job Description:

Brown University is announcing a search for a new faculty member in its Chemical, Biochemical, and Environmental Engineering group (CBE). A candidate is sought with outstanding research credentials in the areas of environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental technology, or environmental health. The candidate would benefit from an opportunity to interact with a strong and rapidly developing environmental research scene at Brown, including the Superfund Research Program, (which involves projects that span the range from toxicology to characterization and cleanup of contaminated sites), the Center for Environmental Studies, the Environmental Change Initiative, to name but a few. Current areas of particular interest include environmental fate and transport, environmental remediation technology, nanotoxicology, nanotechnology and the environment, biological aspects related to exposure to contaminants, and characterization of contaminated properties or their cleanup. Teaching responsibilities will be based upon the candidate’s background, but will generally be within Brown’s integrated chemical and environmental programs at the undergraduate and graduate level.
