Job Description: 

The new Green Energy Research Group of Dr. Shao-Yuan (Ben) Leu in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is looking for applicants of 1 Ph.D. and 1~2 Research Assistants (R.A.) to study Wastes-to-Energy alternative in Hong Kong. The expacted research works will be on developing innovative techniques to convert municipal solid wastes and biomass into high value biofuels and other useful products. Applicants who hold a Master Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Chemistry, Biological Techniques, or related fields are welcome to submit your application.

The studentship and R.A. salaries of PolyU are highly competitive. Once addmitted, the Ph.D. student will be provided with a monthly stipend of approximately $1,794 USD; and the salary of the R.A. is $1,560 USD/month (subject to review and commensurate with qualifications and experience). Conference and research related travel allowance of $1,300 USD per year will be also available.
