The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Utah is seeking Ph.D students to work under the guidance of Dr. Ramesh Goel beginning January 2014. The first project will focus on nutrient cycling in natural systems such as in streams and wetlands. The ideal candidate will possess a M.S. in Environmental Engineering, ecological Engineering, or related field. The second project will focus on bacteriophages in engineered system. This project involves phage and bacterial metagenomics, transcriptomics and the use of bioinformatics.
The selected candidate will receive a competitive stipend, full tuition, and benefits.
