The Sustainable Product and Engineering Lab at Purdue University is looking for Ph.D. students to work on several projects related to life cycle assessment: 1) Developing multi-agent life cycle assessment tool to support sustainable design of electronics; 2) Life cycle assessment of rare earth elements and products; and 3) Understanding the economic and environmental consequences of widespread deployment of thin film solar photovoltaics. The ideal candidates should have M.S. in a related engineering field and some background/training on optimization and/or economics.
