| DESCRIPTION: | International Energy and Environmental Policy The University of Texas at Austin The Center for International Energy and Environmental Policy (CIEEP) of The University of Texas at Austin is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty position to be based in the LBJ School of Public Affairs, Jackson School of Geosciences, or the Cockrell School of Engineering, who will conduct policy relevant research through CIEEP. The person in this position will teach and carry out other normal faculty responsibilities in the home department. The general areas of interest are energy systems economics or modeling, energy policy, geoscience aspects of energy and environmental resource systems, water resources, and energy conversion and storage. It is anticipated that the position will be filled at the assistant professor level; however, candidates seeking a more senior position will be considered. The position is available at the beginning of the fall semester 2010. Review of applications will begin October 12, 2009, but will be considered until the position is filled. Qualifications must be commensurate with rank and a Ph.D is required. Candidates should have potential for excellence in research and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
