Professor in Environmental Engineering Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Faculty of Engineering Auckland, New Zealand Vacancy Number: 11144 The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is inviting applications for an academic staff position in Environmental Engineering at the level of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor. This highly rewarding and challenging opportunity is aimed at strengthening the University's contribution to traditional and emerging areas of research and teaching in Environmental Engineering. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has a well established strong reputation in the traditional fields of its discipline. The Department enjoys active and wide-ranging industrial linkages, and has a very committed and supportive industrial advisory board. To be successful in this role the applicant will have a doctorate in Civil or Environmental Engineering and will be required to develop and teach courses in environmental engineering at undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants are expected to initiate and develop a collaborative multidisciplinary research programme in any aspect of Environmental Engineering, such as treatment processes, contaminant fate and transport in environment, waste management and sustainability. Opportunities for collaboration exist within the Faculty of Engineering and other departments and centres within the University.
