| DESCRIPTION: | The Duke University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks candidates for a tenure-track position in Environmental Engineering at any level. While applications from all sub-disciplines of environmental engineering are encouraged, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise related to physical-chemical processes, air pollution, impacts of new materials or energy technologies, environmental applications and life cycle impacts of advanced materials, and environmental risk assessment. Environmental Engineering is one of four strategic priorities in the Pratt School of Engineering and is closely linked with activities in the Nicholas School of the Environment. Duke is headquarters for the NSF/EPA Center for the Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology, an NIEHS Superfund Basic Research Center, and the recently launched Gendell Center for Engineering, Energy, and the Environment. We seek applicants with a vision of collaboration and relevance for their research and teaching that is international and cross-disciplinary.
