| DESCRIPTION: | The University of Maryland, Baltimore County’s (UMBC) Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applicants for a post-doctoral position. The selected applicant will be conducting research the use of high-shear membranes for the treatment of naval wastes. Experience in membranes processes, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems desired. The position is available immediately and will have duration of 12 months, with possible extension for another 1 to 2 years. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Persons interested in this position should have a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with a strong background in membrane mechanical systems.
