Postdoctoral scientist position is available at The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station to investigate sorption of organic compounds in soils, soil derivatives, black carbon and coal materials by NMR along with classical techniques. Candidate will be expected to work independently and closely with collaborators at another University. Candidates must possess a Ph. D. degree in relevant field such as environmental engineering, soil science or chemistry and preferably have experience in NMR spectroscopy. The candidate should have strong communication skills and a record of research productivity. The appointment is for up to about two and a half years depending on performance and available funding. The salary and benefits are competitive.
