POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER Hazardous Substance Research Center College of Engineering Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field; strong background in application of molecular biology techniques in environmental systems. Additional Qualifications Desired: Knowledge of DNA-based techniques: i.e., real-time PCR, FISH, cloning and sequencing; knowledge of bioremediation processes and chemical analytical techniques (e.g., IC, GC, and HPLC). Responsibilities: performs field and laboratory research; investigates the role of microbial populations on the reductive dechlorination of chlorinated solvents in the rhizosphere of vegetated systems; trains undergraduate and graduate students.
