The Biocolloids and Surfaces Laboratory at McGill University has an immediate opening for a post-doctoral scholar in the field of biofilm formation and characterization. The position will be held in the Department of Chemical Engineering. We seek a candidate with expertise in one or more of the following areas: (1) biofilm formation/characterization; (2) environmental microbiology; (3) aquatic/colloid chemistry; (4) materials/surface science. The selected candidate will use novel analytical techniques to investigate the physical and chemical factors affecting biofilm formation and characteristics in environmental and/or biomedical systems. This project is funded through NSERC and the Canada Research Chairs program and may have a duration of up to 3 years contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
