The Department of Environmental Engineering seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure-track. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Environmental Engineering, advising undergraduate and graduate students, developing an externally-funded research program, and contributing to the diversity of the scholarly activities within the university. Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution or university in environmental engineering or a closely related field. Post-graduate experience in either industry or academia, registration as a professional engineer and a strong record of research productivity is highly desirable. Consideration for appointment as a level above Assistant Professor requires a superior record of research publication and funding. Candidates must have 18 graduate hours for every field in which they will teach. Areas of research and teaching emphasis include regional/global scale water and air pollution studies, environmental remote sensing, environmental sensor technologies (biological, chemical or nanoscale), ecological engineering, and other focus areas relevant to environmental sustainability. Candidates with strong background in development and application of mathematical models at field settings will be given preference.
