| DESCRIPTION: | University of Maryland, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in environmental engineering/water sustainability engineering at the assistant or associate professor level. Appointments at the full professor level will be considered for superior candidates. Can-didates are expected to possess strong academic teaching skills, to guide an active scholarly research program, and to obtain funding from competitive external funding agencies. Of specific interest is expertise in water sustainability and biological processes, possibly including biological energy conversion processes. UMD has a strong Engineers without Borders program and EWB experience is a plus. All applicants must hold a PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field by September 2010 for appointment in fall 2010.
