DESCRIPTION:

Ecosystems Laboratory, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Ulsan solicits application on the following areas:

1. Sustainable Engineering
2. Eco-industrial Park development

We, in Ecosystems laboratory, focus on the various aspects of environmental technology and management encompassing resource recycling and cleaner production, development and promotion of existing industrial parks in Ulsan to Eco-industrial Park (EIP). We are completing the 1st phase of 15-year, 3-phase Korean EIP master plan in April 2010 and will start the 2nd phase thereafter for 5 years. We are leading in industrial ecology research with Ulsan industrial park as our platform.

The candidate should possess a Ph.D. in environmental engineering or closely related fields, good publication record, good knowledge of statistical experimental design, mathematical modeling and management tools for environmental decision making, ability to work in a team, and a good command of oral and written English. The contract will be for at least 2 years and can be extended depending on the research performance of the candidate. The salary will be 2,000,000 K-Won/month. In addition, health insurance will be provided.
