GOLISANO INSTITUTE FOR SUSTAINABILITY The Golisano Institute for Sustainability (GIS) at Rochester Institute of Technology is a leading research center in the burgeoning field of sustainability, conducting over $14 M of external sponsored research per annum. The Institute is staffed by five academic faculty, five research faculty, and nearly 100 professional staff of scientists, engineers and administrative support personnel. It houses several research centers within 170,000 square feet of research, laboratory, teaching and meeting space, including the Systems Modernization & Sustainment Center, the National Center for Remanufacturing and Resource Recovery, the Center for Sustainable Mobility, the Center for Sustainable Production, the Pollution Prevention Institute, and the NanoPower Research Laboratory. QUALIFICATIONS: PREFERRED: For the rank of Assistant Professor, candidates should have a strong scholarly agenda related to sustainability, including a demonstrated potential to publish research, secure external resources, advise graduate students, and excel at graduate-level teaching. For the rank of Associate or Full Professor, candidates should have a demonstrated record of accomplishment related to sustainability, including external funding, peer-reviewed publications, teaching excellence, and successful mentorship of Ph.D. students.
