| DESCRIPTION: | The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Associate to perform research and teaching duties. The candidate will spend about 75% of his/her time teaching undergraduate courses and 25% participating in on-going research projects and pursuing his/her own research interests. Teaching duties will include responsibility for a capstone senior design course and other undergraduate courses commensurate with the experience of the candidate. UMass faculty research activities in water and wastewater treatment processes, water resources, systems analysis, climate and groundwater provide ample opportunity for research collaboration. Further information about the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department can be found at: www.ecs.umass.edu/cee Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Demonstrated interest and experience with undergraduate teaching is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with professional experience and who are registered Professional Engineers.
