| DESCRIPTION: | Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Faculty Position in Environmental Engineering The Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at Assistant Professor rank in the area of environmental engineering. Research interest in life cycle assessment, carbon audit and interdisciplinary risk management is an asset. On the teaching side, the appointee is expected to contribute to both introductory and upper level courses in environmental engineering. In addition, the appointee is expected to develop new courses for our newly approved Minor Program in Environmental Sustainability and Management. Applicants should have a PhD degree and demonstrate evidence of strong potential for effective teaching and promising research. Appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor initially on a three-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement. Well-established candidates with excellent research track record may be considered for appointment as Associate Professor. Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous fringe benefits including annual leave, medical/dental benefits and housing will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
