| DESCRIPTION: | ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR The Department of Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health seeks to hire an Environmental Health scientist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This is a full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track appointment. The department seeks a candidate who will develop their own extensive program of research in Environmental Health, with an emphasis in exposure and risk assessment. The candidate must have an appropriate doctoral degree (eg PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD) and relevant experience. Additionally, an MPH degree is highly desirable. Other responsibilities also include educational advising to students and serving on capstone, thesis and doctoral committees, engaging in collaborative research with other faculty in the department and the University of Kentucky, and teaching graduate students in the department. The University of Kentucky College of Public Health was established in 2004 and is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). The Department of Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health is the academic home for 15 faculty members, including epidemiologists, physicians, environmental scientists and other disciplines. The department also offers residency programs in general preventive medicine and occupational medicine.
