The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering is inviting applications for an academic staff position in Environmental Engineering (including sustainability) at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. This highly rewarding and challenging opportunity is aimed at strengthening the University's contribution to traditional and emerging areas of research and teaching in Environmental Engineering.

The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering has a well established strong reputation in the traditional fields of its discipline. The Department enjoys active and wide-ranging industrial linkages, and has a very committed and supportive industrial advisory board.

To be successful in this role the applicant will have a doctorate in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a strong engineering background. They will be required to develop and teach courses in Environmental Engineering at undergraduate and graduate levels and demonstrate an ability to initiate and develop a collaborative multidisciplinary research programme in any field of Environmental Engineering. Opportunities for collaboration exist within the Faculty of Engineering and other departments and centres within the University.
