Non-tenure track, Research Associate position, dependent on grant funds. Ph.D. in Microbiology required. The successful candidate should have demonstrated ability to conduct research in a university setting and mentor students.

Expertise is required in the area of microbial transformations of mercury and mercury stable isotope fractionation. The successful applicant will conduct research on mercury isotopic fractionation during mercury transformations by anaerobic bacteria and photosynthetic microorganisms and should be skilled in the culture of microorganisms and stable isotope fractionation theory, processes and experimental techniques. Applicants are sought with abilities to culture anaerobic microorganisms and collect and analyze elemental mercury. Experience with mercury stable isotope systematics and analysis of mercury stable isotopes by multi-collector-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS) preferred.

Minimum of two years post-doc experience preferred.
