DESCRIPTION:

Three postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the following areas:

Environmental sciences
An environmental engineering or chemistry PhD in water treatment is a must. Significant experience in detection and removal of waterborne contaminants is required. ICP-AES, ICP-MS familiarity is essential. The candidates who worked on nanomaterials is strongly preferred.

Synthetic chemistry
The candidate should have proven experience in synthesis of nano materials. Organic chemistry knowledge is a plus. Polymer chemists are also welcome. Experience in electron microscopy is preferred.

Catalysis
We’re looking for a PhD level scientist with substantial knowledge and experience in gas catalysis (esp. CH4, CO2). Familiarity with DSC, TGA and Quadrupole MS is strongly preferred. Expertise on GC, XRD, SEM, TEM, BET, ICP is a plus.

Notes:

- Korean nationals are preferred but qualifying international scholars will be sponsored for a working visa.

- Appointments are for one year, expandable to two years.

- Collaborative trips to overseas (esp. US, Qatar, Turkey) may be required.

- A second appointment in synthetic chemistry may be made depending on the applicant qualifications.
