DESCRIPTION:

The College of Engineering and Applied Science at University of Colorado Denver is seeking a Post doctoral research fellow interested in microbial fuel cell (MFC) and desalination research. The primary responsibilities of the candidate will involve: 1) investigating new materials and the biological and electrochemical constraints of MFC/MDC systems and improving system performance; 2) helping mentor graduate students; and 3) Assisting in grant proposal, report, and manuscript preparation. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or closely related fields. Experiences in membrane research, MFCs, electrochemistry, or molecular microbiology are highly preferred. Compensation is very competitive and commensurate with skills and experience. The position is currently available and will remain open until filled.
