Frederick George Pohland Medal

Michael Stenstrom is a Distinguished Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UCLA. Michael has an international reputation in the application of fundamental principles in aeration systems and regularly consults with water and wastewater utilities on aeration processes. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Stenstrom has advised more than 45 PhD students and 30 Masters Theses students. He has also been active in service to our profession, serving on ASCE and WEF committees among others.
