AEESP Award for Outstanding Teaching in Environmental Engineering and Science

Amy Landis is a professor at Arizona State University. Amy is known as a very enthusiastic, engaging and encouraging professor. She has received 5 educational excellence awards, including two Carnegie Science Center awards, and a nomination and acceptance to participate in the NAE Frontiers of Engineering Education symposiums. She has developed five new sustainability classes, each of which experiments with innovative pedagogies such as service learning, experiential learning, and problem based learning; and has developed a program at Arizona State to aid faculty in integrating experiential learning and concepts of environmental engineering and sustainability into other engineering courses.  Amy has received much deserved recognition for her accomplishments and has inspired many of her students.
