W. Wesley Eckenfelder Graduate Research Award

Roland Cusick completed his M.S. degree in August 2010, and published the paper “Performance of a pilot‐scale continuous flow microbial electrolysis cell fed winery wastewater” in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology.  Mr. Cusick has completed all course requirements for his PhD, and this summer will (or has) defended his dissertation.  The pilot scale research described in the journal paper garnered national media attention, as it was the first test of such a large reactor based on microbial current generation.
